A college graduate! Woo! All done with school!

Now I just have to move back home.




And with this newfound degree, I present you with MY BRAND NEW SITE!

This will still be used as a blog though. No reason to clutter up my portfolio with things that no one should ever read if they want to hire me.

New Host

Just switched over to a new host, and now I'm getting the kinks worked out.

I'm so close to being done. This is crazy. I'm actually about to graduate from this hell!

Current WIP of the site design is here. I'm liking it so far.

My demo reel is due Tuesday at 2pm. I'll probably have it done tomorrow, if I'm not lazy. Which means whoever reads this will see it tomorrow. Finished. In all of it's glory.

My panel review went friggin AWESOME! They all liked my stuff a lot. They complimented me alot. They told me NOT to take out the shot I was thinking of dropping.

Demo stuff

Well for music I decided to go with the Flaming Lips song.

My rough cut/panel review is Monday, but we can't do anything on Sunday because they're having a behind the scenes tour. Blah. I've been up for 36 hours right now. It sucks. I'll sleep tonight though, then tomorrow get Matt to help me with a resume.

This is a somewhat cocky thing to say, but I think my reel is coming out incredibly well. I guess it's not that cocky, I'm just damn proud of it so far. I may cut one scene from it that I don't particularly like too much, simply because shit's taking too long to render, and I don't want to wait.

I can't wait to freakin go home. See my girlfriend, family, and friends. Staying up this long working sucks, and makes me miss home all the more.

Dilemma

Well, I kind of have a dillemma right now. I'm not sure if I want to pay Brandon extra for an actual logo or not. I've seen the first phase of the design of it, and I like it a lot. But if I want to use it as a logo, I'll have to use it on pretty much everything. Which means I'd have to change some stuff around.

I also want to use my face as my logo, but the Llama and my face are polar opposites in design. Llama cartoony, face creepy.

I like the face a lot, but mainly because I made it. It's mine. I can go, "Hey, look what I made."

I could just use the logo on everything but the DVD case and DVD... but that'd be weird.

Someone said that they don't think the face works as a logo, as it kind of traps me into horror/creepy stuff. It's not a very "general use" logo.

Hrm.

Well, just this last month and I'll be out of here. I think that is the most awesome thing I have ever said.

Right now I'm refining where I want what shots in my demo reel, and trying to pick the music. I've gotten it down to two songs.

I also need to think about what I want do with my title sequence. I may go buy Panic Room tonight because I've heard good things about that. I may just do a bunch of Motion tutorials and do it in that though. So many choices, so little time.
