So it's getting to the point where I really want to fucking move out. I'm tired of living here.

And it's not even living with my parents that's the bad part. It just sucks living way out in the middle of fucking nowhere. I have to drive 20 minutes to hang out with anyone, or get any food that isn't in my house. I have shitty internet. I have shitty satellite. I can't even get my local channels in HD. I can't play games online.

But on the upside, there's no rent. So I'm rolling in money. But I don't want to be. I want to be not here. But to do that I need a roommate.

Because I'm stupid, and want a house. They're way too expensive for me to get one on my own, so I need someone to move in with me. Dustin said he would, but his lease doesn't end until March. Chuck also said he would just last night, but I'm not sure if I want to live with him. I mean he's a good guy and all, I just don't want to bump heads or whatever. And he makes more money than Dustin. Dustin would probably break his lease, but that's fucking expensive, and I can't ask him to do that. Especially since he'd have to break his lease then put down half on a deposit.

Bah, I don't know what to do. I guess I'll call a realtor and start looking for a house, and start looking at apartments this weekend or something.

I bitch way too much

I've noticed recently that probably more than half of the conversation I have with people is me generally bitching. I bitch cause I'm bored, I bitch cause I don't have many friends. I just bitch about anything around me.

Hell now I'm bitching about how all I ever do is bitch.

I've been doing manual labor for the last week, working in the oilfield and such. It's been alright. My sunburns have pretty much gone away, and now my arms and stuff are pretty damn tan. Hopefully this'll help me lose weight and make me feel a bit better about myself.

I need to think of some new composites so I can work on a new demo reel. So I can go out and get a real job.

Man, I have nothing left to say....

Bored

Man. If I ever say "holy crap, I have way too much stuff to do, and not enough time to do it in. I hate this." Well I want whoever is around me to slap me and say, "Do you remember that time you moved back to Midland? You like not being bored."

Because holy jesus on a stick I am bored. I've got pretty much nothing to do all during the week because everyone works, and now a good half of the people here are moving back off to college. I have to drive 20 minutes to get into town, and then hope whoever I'm currently hanging out with doesn't get tired of me or want to go to sleep, and when the inevitable does happen, I have to frantically start calling people hoping someone will answer and want to hang out.

Because if they don't, I have to drive 20 minutes back home.... then wait for someone elese to call me again, so that I can drive another 20 minutes back to town. What I don't pay in rent I'm making up for in gas milage.

I really need to start working on a new reel to send out so that I can get a job.

I'm going to go crazy

Holy shit, I am going to go crazy. I haven't seen anyone since I got back from the LAN party. They're all gone for the 4th of July break. So I have no one to hang out with. I've just been sitting on my computer all damn day, and watching 24. And Venture Brothers.

About the LAN party: It was a ton o fun. Played Q3, Q4, HL2DM, some ET, and some HL2CTF. And a ton of Guitar Hero. I think that was the light of the party. Everyone instantly fell in love with it, was pretty funny. I don't think I've ever heard Cowboys From Hell that many times though. Muffins was obsessed with it.

I got a kickass HL2 poster out of it too. This one. I wanna frame it or something. Just too cool.

My contacts wanted to try and kill us though. They weren't loving me on the way up there, and I could barely see anything. The next day I had to go to Publix to get some contact solution and take a nap. My eyes were nice little wells of mucus. It was pretty awesome.

Umm.. not much else to talk about. Need to finish updating the site, then at some point need to work on Breakfast Tacos. I mean, I have nothing else to do all day.

Demo stuff

Well for music I decided to go with the Flaming Lips song.

My rough cut/panel review is Monday, but we can't do anything on Sunday because they're having a behind the scenes tour. Blah. I've been up for 36 hours right now. It sucks. I'll sleep tonight though, then tomorrow get Matt to help me with a resume.

This is a somewhat cocky thing to say, but I think my reel is coming out incredibly well. I guess it's not that cocky, I'm just damn proud of it so far. I may cut one scene from it that I don't particularly like too much, simply because shit's taking too long to render, and I don't want to wait.

I can't wait to freakin go home. See my girlfriend, family, and friends. Staying up this long working sucks, and makes me miss home all the more.

Dilemma

Well, I kind of have a dillemma right now. I'm not sure if I want to pay Brandon extra for an actual logo or not. I've seen the first phase of the design of it, and I like it a lot. But if I want to use it as a logo, I'll have to use it on pretty much everything. Which means I'd have to change some stuff around.

I also want to use my face as my logo, but the Llama and my face are polar opposites in design. Llama cartoony, face creepy.

I like the face a lot, but mainly because I made it. It's mine. I can go, "Hey, look what I made."

I could just use the logo on everything but the DVD case and DVD... but that'd be weird.

Someone said that they don't think the face works as a logo, as it kind of traps me into horror/creepy stuff. It's not a very "general use" logo.

Hrm.

LAN Par-TAY!

So my friend Crioknight is hosting a LAN party in the coming weeks.

I will most definately be there. It will be much fun.

I haven't LAN'd in damn near forever. I miss it a lot, and miss all of the LC lans. Those were just such fun times. Hopefully this will be like that, with more people I don't know.

Oh well it's really my last chance to hang with him, and considering how much fun we had last time, I imagine it'll be fun again this time.

That went by pretty quickly

Nicole leaves tomorrow. But I'll hopefully be home in a month, so it's no big deal.

She already has an interview. That lasted so long. And it turns out there are a couple of places hiring, so she's going to try and pick and choose.

I started reading a book called House of Leaves. And yeah, the house part is blue like that. It's supposed to be ridiculously scary, but so far I'm not completely seeing it. Parts of it have been pretty creepy, but it's not too often. Yet. I'm only on chapter 5. It's a book about a guy who finds a book about a documentary that never existed. It's very strangely written but I'm enjoying the crap out of it so far.

Anyone know how to embed youtube videos into sites? Or Google Video vids. Need to figure a bunch of stuff out really. See if I can put RSS stuff into the sections over one the right.

Hopefully I'm not just typing to myself though.

I'll type something bigger out about X3 later. I have to go finish my work.

Well this sucks

Nicole got fired today. That sucks. Sucks bad. And this is after her boss assured her multiple times that there was no way he was going to fire her.

At least she's coming down today.

She'll find a better job. She didn't like that job anyway. And she's taking it in stride.

Alrighty, this is going to be my new blog. I'm keeping this out of powerllama.com as I want that to be a portfolio site, and I don't think I should mix job stuff with personal stuff.

I don't know what I'm going to put on here, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.


Here in 2 weeks or so, I might have powerllama.com back up and running with a new design made by the truly famous Brandon Dicks. I love the design, and hopefully so will everyone else.
